Tom Yum Goong film

Tony Jaa is about to topple the giant

My first film review looks at a contemporary martial arts movie that is famous with martial art fans. The main actor is Tony Jaa (Thai martial artist), who conveys the extent of human ability and potential as he travels to Australia to recover his father's elephants that have been stolen by a gang that spawn from a restaurant called Tom Yum Goong. He takes on the gang using his skills in Thai Boxing and Kung Fu. There are some amazing stunts and fight sequences which make the film worth viewing at least once, if not several times. No stunt doubles, no wirework and no CGI's are manipulated in any of these creative fight scenes. A delight to watch, although the story, plots and subplots will probably not be interesting to certain people, particularly ones living in the western cultures.
